Just got home from our trip to the Smokies. While there I bought some local cider and a Lodge skillet that can also be used as a lid or double boiler with another skillet I have.
On the way home we drove to one of Ohio’s “last chance” liquor stores. It’s where you can buy marked down liquor that was either returned to the state due to poor sales or when a liquor store goes out of business. I just wish it were closer.

My only regret from my UK trip was the fact I didn’t take the bottle for the Scotch from the castle that my friend got married in.

I like the random cast iron pan. Like yeah I got 10 bottles of booze but damn this pan is a great deal. Those silicone handle covers are great too.

The gin is really good, Total Wine sells it. Ive been looking for the EB Rye, but it’s not sold near me.
I have never seen that style Johnnie, try it and report back.
The pan is awesome, too. We all know the Oppo love for cast iron.

I’m glad to hear an endorsement of the gin. They didn’t have any gins I was familiar with so I took a chance.
I haven’t had the EB rye, but I’ve been happy with drinks I’ve had from the same distillery.
The pan was hard to pass up. They were doing an extra discount on seconds so it was underv$10.

That pan was under $10 at the Lodge outlet and will last longer than my wife’s $20 t-shirt. Lol
I had one of their fabric handle covers, but it’s pretty beat because I use my skillets so much. I definitely like that I now have a cover for both handles.

That would’ve been a really nice souvenir to have.
